Terms of Service
Last updated: April 8, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using JobDrop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
“JobDrop” refers to the platform, website, and services operated at jobdrop.co and app.jobdrop.co. “Contractor” refers to roofing professionals who create accounts. “Homeowner” or “Visitor” refers to anyone viewing public pages or submitting information through forms.
2. Who Can Use JobDrop
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are creating an account on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.
3. Your Account
Contractor accounts are managed through Clerk, our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
You may invite team members to your organization with different permission levels (Owner, Manager, Crew). You are responsible for the actions of team members within your organization.
4. Subscription & Billing
JobDrop offers subscription plans at published prices. Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s terms. We do not store your credit card information directly.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
- You may cancel at any time from your account settings — access continues through the end of the current billing period
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 14 days of a charge for consideration
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the photos, voice recordings, and other content you upload to JobDrop. By uploading content, you grant JobDrop a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and process your content for the purpose of providing the service. This includes resizing images, generating thumbnails, and displaying content on public project pages.
You represent that you have the right to upload and publish all content you submit, including photos of completed projects. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate permissions (e.g., from property owners) before publishing project photos.
6. AI-Generated Content
JobDrop uses AI to process your voice recordings and project details to generate project titles, descriptions, and other text content. This processing is performed by third-party AI services (OpenAI for transcription, Anthropic for content generation).
- AI-generated content is always presented for your review and editing before publication
- AI outputs may contain inaccuracies — you are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before it goes live
- Your data is not used to train AI models
- Once published, you are responsible for the accuracy of your project content
7. Public Pages & Homeowner Interaction
Contractor profiles and project pages are publicly accessible. Homeowners and visitors can:
- View contractor portfolios and project details
- Submit estimate requests through forms on contractor pages
- Contact contractors through the text widget
- Leave reviews linked to verified projects
By submitting information through a form or widget, homeowners consent to being contacted by the specific contractor whose page they submitted through.
8. SMS & Communications Consent
JobDrop sends text messages on behalf of contractors. By providing your phone number and opting in (via a web form with a consent checkbox or during in-person service engagement), you consent to receive text messages related to:
- Review requests after completed projects
- Lead notifications and estimate confirmations
- Project follow-ups and appointment reminders
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from any message thread. Reply HELP for assistance.
SMS consent is not a condition of purchasing any service. You may opt out at any time and continue to use JobDrop’s services without SMS.
9. Reviews & Sentiment Shield
JobDrop collects customer reviews linked to verified projects. Contractors:
- Cannot delete genuine customer reviews — only flag them for policy violations (spam, harassment, irrelevant content)
- Can respond publicly to reviews
- Cannot post reviews for their own business or have employees, family members, or associates post reviews on their behalf
- Cannot offer incentives for reviews without clearly disclosing the incentive in the review
- Cannot use AI or any automated tool to generate fake customer reviews
Violation of these review policies may result in account suspension or termination, consistent with FTC regulations governing consumer reviews.
10. Copyright & DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on JobDrop infringes your copyright, submit a DMCA takedown notice to:
Your notice must include: identification of the copyrighted work, the infringing material and its location on JobDrop, your contact information, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your claim is accurate.
We will remove or disable access to infringing content and notify the account holder. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
11. Contractor Credential Disclaimer
Contractor profiles may display licenses, insurance status, bonding information, certifications, and review ratings. JobDrop does not independently verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of any credentials, qualifications, or ratings displayed on contractor profiles.
Homeowners should independently verify contractor credentials, licensing, and insurance before hiring. JobDrop is not a contractor, general contractor, or construction company, and does not perform or supervise any roofing work.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive project content
- Use the platform for spam, harassment, or illegal activity
- Scrape, crawl, or access the platform through automated means without permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts
- Interfere with the platform’s operation or security
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the platform without authorization
13. Intellectual Property
JobDrop owns all rights to the platform, including its design, code, features, and branding. You own the content you upload (photos, recordings, project data). The license you grant us (Section 5) is limited to operating the service and terminates when you delete your content or close your account.
14. Data Processing
When contractors use JobDrop to collect and manage homeowner information (through estimate forms, the text widget, or review requests), JobDrop acts as a service provider processing data on the contractor’s behalf. We:
- Process homeowner data only as instructed by the contractor and as needed to provide the service
- Implement appropriate security measures (see our Privacy Policy)
- Assist with data subject rights requests when notified
- Notify contractors of data breaches affecting their data without undue delay
A list of our sub-processors is maintained in our Privacy Policy.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
JOBDROP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
We do not guarantee any specific results from using JobDrop, including but not limited to lead generation, SEO rankings, revenue increases, or business growth. AI-generated content is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
16. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOBDROP’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JobDrop from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from: (a) your content; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law; or (d) your use of the platform in connection with your roofing business (including claims from homeowners regarding work quality, credentials, or communications).
18. Beta & Early Access Features
Some features may be labeled as “Beta” or “Early Access.” These features are provided as-is, may be modified or discontinued at any time, and are excluded from any service level commitments. We appreciate your feedback on beta features.
19. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at jobdrop.co@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days.
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you agree that any dispute will be resolved through binding individual arbitration (not class action) under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Either party may bring claims in small claims court as an alternative.
You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
20. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You can cancel your subscription from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
Upon termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days. After that period, your data will be deleted according to our retention policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution) will continue to apply.
21. Force Majeure
JobDrop is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, power outages, internet disruptions, government actions, pandemics, or third-party service failures.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
23. General Provisions
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
- Assignment: JobDrop may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights without our consent.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JobDrop and supersede all prior agreements.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Electronic Communications: You consent to receiving notices, agreements, and disclosures electronically via email or in-app notification.
- No Third-Party Beneficiaries: No third party is an intended beneficiary of these Terms.
- No Agency: Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between you and JobDrop.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of JobDrop after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
