1. Who We Are

Happy Roofer is a roofing contractor using the JobDrop platform to showcase work, capture leads, and manage homeowner communications. JobDrop (operated by JobDrop LLC) provides the platform infrastructure on Happy Roofer’s behalf as a service provider.

When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “Happy Roofer,” it refers to Happy Roofer. When it says “JobDrop” it refers to the platform operator. When it says “you,” it means anyone interacting with Happy Roofer through the JobDrop platform — homeowners, prospective customers, and visitors to jobdrop.co/happy-roofer-1789896904543461297.

2. Information We Collect

From Homeowners and Visitors

• Contact information submitted via Happy Roofer’s estimate form or text widget (name, phone number, email, project address)
• Review and feedback data (star rating, review text, reviewer name)
• SMS consent records (timestamp, consent text, phone number)
• Call metadata when Happy Roofer uses JobDrop’s call tracking (caller ID, call duration, timestamp)

Automatically Collected

• Device and browser information (IP address, user agent, screen size)
• Usage analytics (pages visited, features used, timestamps)
• Referring URLs and UTM parameters

3. How Happy Roofer Uses Your Information

• Responding to estimate requests and homeowner inquiries submitted through the JobDrop-hosted forms on Happy Roofer’s profile
• Sending review requests, lead notifications, project follow-ups, and appointment reminders (see Section 5)
• Generating project content from voice recordings and photos using AI (see Section 4)
• Improving Happy Roofer’s public profile, project pages, and lead capture experience
• Complying with legal obligations

4. AI-Generated Content

Happy Roofer uses JobDrop’s AI tools to create project pages efficiently:

• Voice transcription: Voice recordings are transcribed using OpenAI’s speech-to-text service.
• Content generation: Project titles, descriptions, and other text content are generated by Anthropic’s Claude AI from the transcribed text and project details.
• Contractor review: All AI-generated content is presented to Happy Roofer for review and editing before publication.

Your data is not used to train AI models. Voice recordings and transcripts are processed solely to generate project content for Happy Roofer.

5. SMS & Text Messaging

Happy Roofer sends text messages from their own phone and their own number; the JobDrop platform does not currently send them on their behalf. Messages may be sent for these purposes:

• Review requests after completed roofing projects
• Replies after you submit an estimate request
• Appointment and project follow-ups
• Team member invitations sent by Happy Roofer’s account owner or managers (these would come from the JobDrop LLC platform number rather than Happy Roofer’s, because the recipient is Happy Roofer’s staff joining the JobDrop dashboard)

Consent: You will only receive text messages from Happy Roofer if you have provided your phone number and opted in — either through a web form on jobdrop.co/happy-roofer-1789896904543461297/estimate, where submitting the form confirms that you agree to be contacted about your request, or during an in-person service engagement with Happy Roofer.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies, typically 1–4 messages per project.

Happy Roofer and JobDrop will not share, sell, or distribute your mobile phone number or any information collected through the text messaging program to third parties or lead generators.

6. Voice Calls & Recording

JobDrop may provide call tracking numbers that forward to Happy Roofer’s phone. When you call a tracking number:

• Call metadata (caller ID, duration, timestamp) is captured for attribution and analytics
• Live calls are not recorded. If you leave a voicemail, a notice plays before the tone and the message is recorded
• Voicemail audio is deleted from the telephony provider within 48 hours. The transcript is kept with the lead record
• Voicemail transcripts reach Happy Roofer by email and by notification in their dashboard

7. Location Data

Project locations are displayed as pins on an interactive map on Happy Roofer’s public profile. To protect homeowner privacy, map pins are intentionally offset from the actual project address by approximately 50–200 meters. Exact street addresses are never displayed publicly.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

JobDrop uses cookies and similar technologies on Happy Roofer’s public pages for:

• Analytics: Understanding how the platform is used (via PostHog)
• Maps: Rendering interactive maps (via Mapbox)
• View-count deduplication: Per-tab session keys (sessionStorage) so refreshing a public project page does not inflate the view counter

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out request.

9. How Happy Roofer Shares Your Information

Happy Roofer does not sell your personal information. Information is shared with the following service providers that support Happy Roofer’s use of the JobDrop platform:

• JobDrop LLC — platform infrastructure
• Convex — database and backend
• Twilio — SMS messaging and voice call tracking
• Mapbox — interactive maps
• OpenAI — voice transcription
• Anthropic — AI content generation
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — web hosting and deployment
• PostHog — product analytics

Happy Roofer may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a sale of the business (with notice to affected individuals).

All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. Mobile phone numbers collected for text messaging, and the consent records attached to them, are never shared with third parties or lead generators for their own purposes, and are not transferred in connection with a sale of the business. Consent you give to Happy Roofer covers messages from Happy Roofer only — it is never transferred to another contractor on the JobDrop platform, and it does not permit JobDrop to market to you.

10. Data Retention

• Active records: Homeowner contact information is retained for the duration of the project relationship and for Happy Roofer’s ongoing customer relationship needs.
• Voicemail audio: Automatically deleted within 48 hours; the transcript is kept with the lead.
• View-event records: Anonymous public-page view events are retained for 90 days, then automatically purged.
• SMS message logs: Retained by Twilio for 30 days, then auto-deleted.
• Consent records: Retained indefinitely for compliance.

11. Data Security

The JobDrop platform implements reasonable security measures to protect your information:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• Sensitive data is encrypted at rest
• Authentication is managed by Clerk with support for multi-factor authentication
• Role-based access controls limit data access within Happy Roofer’s organization (Owner, Manager, Crew)

No system is 100% secure. If Happy Roofer or JobDrop become aware of a data breach, affected individuals will be notified as required by law.

12. Your State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used
• Right to access your personal information in a portable, machine-readable format
• Right to correct inaccurate personal information
• Right to delete your personal information
• Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Happy Roofer does not sell your data)
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

These rights are available to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states with applicable privacy laws.

To exercise your rights, contact Happy Roofer at jobdrop.co@gmail.com. Requests are responded to within 45 days. If a request is denied, you may appeal by contacting the same address.

13. Children’s Privacy

Happy Roofer’s services and the JobDrop platform are not directed at children under 13. Personal information is not knowingly collected from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact Happy Roofer at jobdrop.co@gmail.com and it will be deleted.

14. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The template version above will change for material updates. Your continued interaction with Happy Roofer through JobDrop after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
